Manager, Learning & Development

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization

To implement key Talent strategies in Korea by delivering core and local Talent programs in areas such as Talent Management, Succession Planning, Learning & Development, and Employee Experience. This role is critical in ensuring the consistent and high-quality execution of Talent initiatives aligned with both global frameworks and local business needs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Talent Management & Succession Planning
•    Execute the annual Talent Review and Succession Planning process in collaboration with HRBPs and business leaders.
•    Track and maintain talent profiles, readiness data, and succession pipelines.
•    Facilitate and document key Talent discussions (e.g. HiPo calibration, development plans).
•    Manage follow-up action items from Talent Reviews and ensure visibility with business leaders.

2. Learning & Development (L&D)
•    Conduct needs analysis in partnership with HRBPs and business stakeholders.
•    Localize and coordinate implementation of global/regional L&D programs.
•    Track learning completion and effectiveness; collect feedback for continuous improvement.
•    Support IDP (Individual Development Plan) creation and usage across teams.
•    Organize and facilitate learning workshops, manager sessions, and development dialogues.

3. Employee Experience & Onboarding
•    Coordinate local onboarding experience and ensure smooth new hire integration in collaboration with HR Ops and business.
•    Support employee engagement initiatives and team development activities (e.g. engagement surveys, action planning workshops).
•    Ensure ongoing communication and promotion of internal career development tools and frameworks.

4. Talent Program Operations
•    Support rollout and tracking of all global Talent core products and local programs.
•    Collect, analyze, and report on key Talent KPIs on a quarterly basis.
•    Own training administration and logistics including vendor coordination and budget tracking.
•    Ensure compliance with mandatory training (local/global) and provide operational support for execution.
•    Liaise with global and regional Talent teams to share local insights and feedback.

5. Stakeholder Collaboration
•    Partner closely with HRBPs to align Talent activities with workforce needs.
•    Act as a connector between local business stakeholders and the global Talent organization.
•    Collaborate with cross-functional partners (e.g., Corporate Communications, DEI Committee…) to ensure consistent employee messaging and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 
•    Strong knowledge of talent management and learning practices
•    Solid facilitation and presentation skills
•    Experience with program implementation and project management
•    Analytical mindset and proficiency with HR data and metrics
•    Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
•    Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
•    Business fluency in Korean and proficiency in English
•    Familiarity with HRIS tools (e.g., SuccessFactors), and MS Office (especially PowerPoint/Excel)

Requisite Education & Experience
•    Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field
•    Minimum 6–8 years of HR/Talent experience, preferably in an international/matrix organization
•    Experience supporting talent programs (e.g. Talent Review, L&D, Engagement)
•    Project coordination or change management experience preferred
•    Experience facilitating learning or development sessions is a plus
