In this role, there is the opportunity to – 

Oversee daily laboratory operations to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant diagnostic testing. Ensure adherence to all applicable hospital policies, regulatory standards, and accreditation requirements. Develop and implement short- and long-term goals aligned with system-wide strategic initiatives. Supervise laboratory staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation. Maintain documentation and compliance for quality control, quality assurance, and proficiency testing programs. Monitor key performance metrics and recommend improvements in testing, service, and workflow efficiency. Collaborate with Laboratory Director and other leaders to optimize cross-site operations and resources. Facilitate continuing education and professional development for laboratory personnel. Manage departmental budgets, capital equipment, and operational spending within defined limits. Investigate and resolve laboratory-related complaints, safety issues, and non-compliance incidents. Implement new testing methodologies and technologies in collaboration with clinical stakeholders. Maintain a safe laboratory environment following hospital and regulatory safety protocols. Participate in policy development and ensure staff compliance with current procedures and guidelines. Represent the laboratory on hospital or community committees to support institutional goals.
