ROLE STATEMENT: The Manager, IT Infrastructure and Operations, is a member of the Information Technology (IT) leadership team. You will be responsible for enabling our organization by developing technology solutions to solve our key business problems. Some of the key accountabilities include ensuring the security, reliability, and effectiveness of our IT systems, and providing dependable availability for all users. This role will align the infrastructure roadmap with corporate strategic objectives and business functional requirements. You will be expected to positively impact the overall delivery of information technology services and participate in defining the strategic direction at Calfrac Well Services. SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES: Solicit and interpret business problems to effectively contribute to the best outcomes. Translate data strategy initiatives into an underlying technology solutions. Manage and prioritize stakeholder requirements in complex organizations. Possess knowledge of cloud architecture principles, including identity and access management and multi-cloud design. Participate in IT strategic planning, project planning and budget planning efforts. Maintain responsibility for the successful delivery of IT infrastructure and end user services, ensuring high availability, reliability and optimization of all infrastructure. Develop and implement standards and operating procedures as needed. Develop, deploy and manage operational KPI’s and metrics to help deliver excellent customer service. Provide direct reports with effective leadership through coaching, technical guidance, and strong communication. Manage key vendor relationships and contracts, including performance metrics, performance remediation, conflict resolution and budget/cost management. Develop and maintain the Infrastructure and Cloud roadmap and manage enterprise risk. Ensure effective communication with the Director, IT and other IT Managers regarding relevant issues related to the team, solution delivery, support, business relationship matters, risks or other information as required or appropriate. Ensure IT business continuity planning and disaster recovery procedures are in place and periodically tested. Ensure operating procedures are compliant with both C-Sox requirements and internal change management policies. Perform periodic control testing and compliance evidence in support of the annual GCC audit. KEY ATTRIBUTES AND COMPETENCIES: Ability to solve complex technical issues and maintain technical skillset. Strong leadership and management abilities. Superior communication skills, whether written or verbal. Strong customer service orientation spanning IT, business and vendor stakeholders. Flexibility and agility to adapt to rapidly changing conditions and priorities. Demonstrate business acumen and a clear understanding of how technology solves business problems. Exposure to and understanding of Privacy, Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning. Demonstrate critical thinking and strong problem-solving skills. Ability to develop and execute a technology roadmap. Strong financial management skills in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in IT Infrastructure and Operations. Minimum 5 years of Cloud architecture and design. Minimum 5 years of management and leadership experience. University degree or diploma and equivalent experience in the field of computer science or management information systems or related discipline. Conceptual understanding of data platforms and their dependent integrations.
