As the Manager, IT Financial Systems, reporting to the Director, IT Financial & Core Systems, you will lead the implementation of S/4HANA and oversee the support and performance of core financial systems across multiple regions, ensuring operational excellence and compliance with IT standards. You will manage global teams and vendors, driving project delivery, and partner with senior leadership on strategy and budget planning.
A Day in the Life
Lead the implementation and optimization of financial systems (e.g., S/4HANA, Ariba, Vertex, GEAC) to support business objectives and enhance operational efficiency across multiple regions.Ensure system governance, compliance with internal controls, and adherence to SDLC best practices and SOC/GITC standards.Provide strategic and tactical leadership on high-impact IT initiatives while collaborating with finance, audit, and technology teams to improve application performance and user experience.Oversee day-to-day application support, incident and request management, and system performance and availability.Deliver financial system projects successfully, acting as PEER IT Tower Leader to align business enhancements with IT resources.Lead and mentor a globally distributed team (2–8 direct reports) and manage external providers to ensure execution and professional development.Manage escalations, proactively mitigate high-priority incidents (P1/P2s), and ensure timely root cause analysis and resolution.Review and approve change requests for all responsible applications.Partner with senior leadership to develop and manage departmental budgets.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related engineering field10+ years of IT experience, with at least 3 years in a lead or supervisory role5+ years of hands-on experience in the Fleet Management industry developing and supporting financial applicationsProficiency in S/4HANA, Mainframe systems, and Infor M-seriesExperience delivering IT solutions in a compliant and controlled environment (SOC, GITC)Strong strategic planning, software development, and project delivery experienceProven ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadershipAdept in ITIL practices, software development life cycle (SDLC), and application performance managementStrong leadership, influencing, and team development skills across global teams
The hiring base salary range for this position is $111,100 - $152,800 annually. Actual compensation within this range will be dependent upon the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. Please note that the disclosed salary range is solely for candidates hired to perform work within this geographic location. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
