Position Summary

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven IT Applications Manager to lead the design, development, and support of enterprise applications. This role is responsible for managing a team of developers and analysts, who oversee application lifecycle management, and ensure that technology solutions align with business goals. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with a hands-on approach to improve processes, increase stakeholder satisfaction, and achieve business objectives.

This is a hybrid position based out of Novi, MI.

Principal Functional Responsibilities

Lead the planning, development, and implementation of enterprise applications and software solutions.

Manage a team of developers, analysts, and technical staff, fostering a culture of excellence and professional growth

Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize projects, and deliver scalable solutions.

Develop and manage budgets, timelines, and resource plans for application projects.

Oversee application architecture, integration, and performance optimization.

Ensure adherence to software development best practices, including Agile methodologies, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.

Manage vendor relationships and third-party application support contracts.

Monitor application performance and user satisfaction, implementing improvements as needed.

Ensure compliance with IT governance, security, and data privacy standards.

Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to optimize resource allocation, measure team performance and ensure accountability.

May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent field.

7+ years of experience in managing applications and software development.

3+ years in a management role.

Proficiency in enterprise application platforms (e.g., ERP, CRM, PLM/PIM).

Experience with modern development frameworks (.NET, Java, Python, etc.).

Familiarity with SaaS applications, cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and integration technologies (APIs, Middleware, orchestration, data integration etc)

Strong understanding of database management and reporting tools.

Good project management skills and/or substantial exposure to project-based work structures.

Proven experience in overseeing the direction, development, and implementation of software solutions and SDLC practices.

Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies.

Knowledge of current IT trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile/Scrum Master, or relevant technical certifications.

Experience working in the manufacturing industry.

Hiring Range: $101,100.00 - $158,950.00
