Manager, Intelligence, PE(006734)
Main Tasks:
- Conduct routine prices updating to track Asia market price dynamic and conditions, analyse market data and trends to support pricing strategies development.
- Monitor and evaluate margins of C2 value chain, identifying areas for improvement and recommending appropriate actions. Optimise methodology of margin models to meet diverse business analysis needs. Analyse margin situation to ensure competitiveness and maximising profitability.
- Maintain and validate the capacity database for the Polyethylene industry. Track capacity of major projects in the market as well as new production to ensure accuracy and completeness of data.
- Analyse S&D balance to identify potential market gaps or oversupply situations, providing insights for strategic planning.
- Research and analyse related competitor profiles, including market shares, products, pricing strategies, and strengths/weaknesses, to identify opportunities and threats.
- Handle communication initiatives with external consultancies to gather intelligence based on business needs, including data and report subscription, market research, feasibility studies and consulting assessment, etc.
- Organise market information from industry conferences, seminars, and networking events to support business, expand industry knowledge and build industry relationships.
- Develop and maintain data visualisation tools and dashboards for effective and efficient presentation of complex market information to stakeholders.
- Responsible for sustainability activities and collaborate with cross functions to achieve target.
- Maintain strong relationships with key vendors and continuously monitor the supply and demand trends for 1-Butene, 1-Hexene, catalysts, and other relevant materials.
- Assist the Senior Manager in developing procurement strategies and plans, including contract negotiations.
- Execute procurement contracts to ensure reliable raw material supply and conduct regular performance reviews with suppliers.

Requirements:
- Education: bachelor’s degree or equivalent in chemistry, business, economics, finance or related discipline
- Working Experience: Minimum 4-5 years' relevant working experience in chemical business, prefer plastic, polyolefin or petrochemicals industry
- Other requirements:
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to gather, interpret, and analyse complex data from multiple sources.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with the competence to identify opportunities and develop practical solutions.
- Proficient in using data analysis and data visualisation tools and software, such as Excel (advanced proficiency, able to use complex formulas for data processing and calculations), Power BI, and statistical analysis software.
- Fluent in English and excellent presentation skills.
