8:00 - 4:30 Monday Through FridayManages and is responsible for all related functions of the Logistical Support Services division at HNL Lab Medicine. Maintains and reports baseline and key indicator performance measurements for all areas of responsibility. Evaluates and refines daily operations to maximize efficiencies. Monitors staff productivity and conducts employee performance appraisals and disciplinary process. Responsible for the development and implementation of the Logistical Support Services training program. Responsible for the development, and oversight of HNL Lab Medicine’s Corporate Fleet Safety/Management program. Monitors various qualitative and quantitative reports to investigate utilization and cost to maximize effectiveness of the program. Develops and manages the departmental budgets. Provide explanations for department budgetary variances. Responsible for the development and management of the mailroom department. Assist with the development and management of the HNL Lab Medicine Employee ID program. Promotes and has a positive professional image and utilizes effective communication skills in interpersonal interactions with customers, patients and families, physicians and fellow employees.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
Manages, monitors and is responsible for all operational functions related to the Logistical Support Services division. Manages mailroom activities to assure all outgoing mail is sent by the most cost-effective manner and interoffice mail delivery meets department needs. Evaluates and refines work processes to maximize efficiencies.Keeps abreast of new technologies as it relates to the medical courier logistics field, recommends new processes for review.Manages employee performance evaluations and disciplinary process for all related components of the Logistical Support Services Division. Ensures the processes are conducted according to established policies and procedures.Responsible for the development and management of the Logistical Support Services and Mobile Fleet/Safety training programs. Ensures training is completed in accordance with state and federal guidelines and company policies and procedures.Responsible for development and management of the departmental budgets for the Logistical Support Services division. Forwards budgets to the Vice President, Support Operations for review. Variances are documented and explained in a clear and concise manner. Provides logistical cost analysis for potential new business and forwards to department specific personnel for review and acknowledgement as appropriate.Assists HR with the interviewing process and works collaboratively in the selection of candidates for hire.Actively supports HNL Lab Medicine’s values and exhibits excellent customer relations in anticipating customer needs in all interactions in a positive and professional manner.Responsible for establishing security objectives, goals, policies and procedures in support of HNL Lab Medicine’s Mission and Shared Values to include:
The management of the Security Access Control Program as well as the development and maintenance of the CCure System and access databaseThe management and distribution of all employee and visitor identification badgesCoordinates with Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) Security the proper exchange of information as it relates to the API Time & Attendance SystemQUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience:
High school graduate or equivalent required. Minimum 5 years’ experience in courier/logistical support operations in a management position required.
Language Ability:
Must demonstrate the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills.
Math Ability:
Must possess and show excellent math skills.
Reasoning Ability:
Must possess and demonstrate the ability to assess priorities and be capable of supervising others in a stressful and changing environment. Must possess and demonstrate customer service skills and constant focus and attention to providing quality service.
Computer Skills:
Work processing, Spreadsheets, E-mail, Database software. Previous experience with computerized routing software required.
Certificates and Licenses:
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
