Job Description Summary:
The Human Insights Manager will play a key role in supporting the North America Operating Unit (NAOU) Human Insights team, partnering with the team lead and colleagues on strategic projects across the Marketing organization. This role will be responsible for assisting with consumer, customer, and marketplace research and analytics to inform brand strategy and cross-portfolio priorities. This will include sharing trends, developing reports, responding to supplier RFPs, reviewing questionnaires, and analyzing custom and syndicated research for various topics, such as brand strategy, communication, innovation, and more. The role also interfaces with cross-functional teams within NAOU and globally to ensure effective cross-pollination of knowledge and the effective use of data and insights to inform strategic initiatives.
This role requires familiarity with custom research techniques and syndicated marketing intelligence sources, along with a strong aptitude for continuous learning, strong communication skills (written, verbal and visual), and comfort working in a fast-paced, networked environment The ideal candidate will have experience in custom research or syndicated market data, with a readiness to learn and adapt.
What You’ll Do For US:
Support Strategic Insights: Collaborate with Human Insights team members to utilize existing insights from internal and syndicated sources, informing strategic priorities and developing brand and category factbooks grounded in consumer and shopper insights.
Assist in Custom Research Projects: Under guidance, support research proposal generation, engage in supplier selection, and manage supplier relationships. Manage various aspects of research, including reviewing methodologies, developing questionnaires, reviewing fieldwork and analytic plans, and generating and revising reports/presentation.
Data Mining & Optimization: Gather and analyze data from foundational survey platforms (BEACH, iSHOP, DINE) and syndicated data sources (NIQ Scan, Numerator, MRI Simmons, Kantar, etc) to uncover actionable insights. In partnership with Portfolio Strategy team and Platform Services, identify ways to optimize data access, visualization, and democratization through developing analytics frameworks and scorecards.
Budget Management: Lead the budgeting process planning for the Human Insights team, collaborating with Finance and Human Insights colleagues to ensure balanced and full utilization of budgets. Review budget status monthly, facilitate the opening of purchase orders, vendor management, and oversee invoice tracking and payment processing.
Cross-Functional Collaboration and Capability Building: Facilitate collaboration across Human to enhance data-driven decision-making and support the commercialization of insights across the organization, thereby building human-centric capabilities across the networked marketing team. Support Human Insights Subject Matter Experts across portfolio-wide projects for Creative & Media and Trends & Cultural Intelligence.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Minimum:
Bachelor's Degree in marketing, social sciences, or business-related fields
3+ years of experience in marketing research or analytics/business intelligence
Experience working with marketing or sales teams and designing, executing, analyzing, and reporting primary & secondary data
Preferred:
5+ years of experience in a similar role in the Consumer-Packaged Goods industry
Master’s coursework or degree in social sciences or business-related fields is advantageous

Strategic Thinking: Integrate diverse insights to develop comprehensive understanding of consumers and enhance business consulting of industry dynamics and consumer behavior
Marketing Research Knowledge: Understand custom research methodologies – both qualitative and quantitative approaches - and relevant industry resources and agency partners (Ipsos, Kantar, Nielsen, IRI, NPD, Numerator, Burke, etc)
Analytic Skills: Analyze quantitative and qualitative data, recognizing patterns, opportunities, and gaps and connect the dots between disparate data sources
Technical Familiarity: Proficient in information/business tools and platforms to obtain and analyze relevant data
Prioritization: Balance immediate and long-term priorities, manage trade-offs effectively

Pay Range:
$99,400 - $129,000Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
