Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Manager, Global Sourcing to join our team in a highly collaborative and supportive environment. This role contributes to the success of the organization’s global sourcing strategy, ensuring the achievement of cost efficiencies, supplier excellence, and the long-term sustainability of the supply chain.

Position location: This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule based out of Deerfield, IL. Effective mid-2025, Fortune Brands will transition to a new world-class campus in Deerfield, bringing together associates from across our U.S. offices, brands, and functions. The campus will offer vibrant workspaces for collaboration, along with amenities for dining, onsite daycare, fitness and recreation.
RESPONSIBLIITIES:
Working as a Global Team: Ability to work as part of a virtual global team to collaborate across geographic and organizational boundaries to deliver better business results and share best practices across a global teamLead the development and execution of global sourcing strategies for assigned categories to deliver cost savings, innovation, and supplier value.Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring performance standards are met and fostering long-term partnerships.Strong knowledge of Electronics industry best practices and technology trends.Exhibits subject matter expertise regarding commercial and technology trends, to advise internal users on current and future market capabilities.Drive negotiations for high-value contracts, focusing on cost optimization, quality, delivery performance, and risk management.Think Fast by identify and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions, price fluctuations, and geopolitical factors.Work it Together by collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and align sourcing strategies with corporate goals.Make the Hard Call by driving cost reduction and efficiency improvements through the identification of new suppliers and innovative sourcing strategies.QualificationsDesired incumbent has proven record of leading a team of at least 2 or more with local and overseas associates in a global strategic sourcing environment and/or setting.Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics or a related field with proven minimum 6-8 years of experience in a high volatile global strategic sourcing environment, preferably in large multi-national companies in the electronics industryDemonstrated experience in developing and implementing sourcing strategies that align with organizational goalsExperience in working with components manufacturer is a must, in multiple types of components categories (MCUs, Memories, Actives.. etc)Strong overall knowledge of the Supply Chain, including sourcing and procurement, demand/supply planning, inventory deployment, and logistics and fulfillment.Deep understanding of relevant manufacturing processes, especially in areas of contract manufacturing.Experience conducting business in foreign countries.Demonstrated success in developing/starting new, international supply chains.Strong negotiation and communication skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and and experience managing complex supplier contracts.The ability to manage a multi-functional supply base focused on the use of their capabilities to leverage scale through the most efficient processes, quality management systems and continuous improvements.Passion for mentorship and sharing knowledge with colleaguesAdditional InformationFortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $93,000 USD - $143,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
