About the Role

Responsible for determining the acceptance and the associated rates and benefits of the insurance applications based on guidelines set for the issuance of AIA insurance policies

Job Description:

Supports business line to develop financial-line and marine insurance products;Work closely with functional teams on the end-to-end development cycle   and manage product approval with local risk and/or group office independently;Devise and establish reinsurance support;Establish operation and claims workflow on assigned products;Develop effective underwriting and pricing guidelines aligned with group standards;Ensure customer service standards on assigned products in terms of timeliness and accuracy of underwriting services are met;Train up subordinates in both quantitative and qualitative risk assessment skills on assigned products;Coordinate with IT and other internal/external parties on ad-hoc projects;Provide support on general insurance development upon specific tribe taskforce operation; andTo register and maintain as an insurance agent of Blue Cross with regulatory authority.  Advise on or arrange contracts of insurance or carry out regulated activities if required.

Job Requirements:

University graduate or above;Fulfillment of the fit and proper criteria of the Insurance Authority and / or the Insurance Agents Registration Board (IARB) for registration as an individual agent of the Company, and the minimum qualifications requirements, including but not limited to passes in IIQE Paper 1 and 2;Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese;8-year relevant working experience with minimum 3 years at managerial level;CII / ANZIIF qualification; andExcellent PC knowledge (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).Excellent knowledge of general insurance underwriting on financial-line and marine insurance;Planning and organizing skills;Communication skills;Leadership and coaching skills;Analytical and problem solving skills; andCustomer satisfaction oriented mindset.
