The Manager, Manufacturing Sciences at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. will lead our exceptionally talented team in transforming bulk solutions into multiple types of final containers. This outstanding role is pivotal in our mission to drive world-class manufacturing processes and deliver high-quality products. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years of experience and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate the daily operations of manufacturing processes including formulation, dispensing, and packaging.Ensure all manufacturing processes align with industry standards and regulations.Develop and successfully implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and productivity.Manage and lead an ambitious team of manufacturing personnel, providing training, mentoring, and performance evaluations.Coordinate with other departments to ensure the seamless integration of manufacturing processes.Monitor production schedules and ensure the timely delivery of products.Maintain accurate records of production, inventory, and quality control data.Identify and troubleshoot issues in the manufacturing process, implementing corrective actions as needed.Ensure adherence to safety protocols and promote a culture of safety within the team.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve manufacturing operations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, a relevant scientific subject area, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, directly managing staff.Strong leadership and team management skills.Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.Knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality control standards.Proficiency with manufacturing software and tools.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize effectively
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $92,900.00–$139,325.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
