Manager, Ethics & Compliance Programs – Risk Management
## About the Role: We are looking for a dynamic and data-driven manager to join our Ethics & Compliance Programs team. In this role, you will help protect Uber, our customers, and our communities by fostering a culture of ethical decision-making and smart risk management. You will strengthen the company’s ability to identify and address risks, ensure employees clearly understand their responsibilities, and play a key role in evolving our global Ethics & Compliance program to continuously guide Uber to Do the Right Thing. ## What You’ll Do: - Lead cross-functional efforts to develop and implement a global ethics, compliance, and security risk management framework. - Serve as project manager for programs designed to assess and prioritize risks across global operations, ensuring focus on the most significant challenges. - Leverage technology and data-driven methods to generate insights that inform leadership decisions and support efficient allocation of resources - Develop and oversee risk mitigation plans, establish clear ownership, and implement continuous monitoring. ## Basic qualifications: - 8+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, legal, or business advisory functions. - Bachelor’s Degree. ## Preferred qualifications: - Ability to collaborate and influence across multiple levels of an organization, with confidence and flexibility to adapt in rapidly changing environments. - Knowledge of global regulatory environments and enforcement trends is a plus! - Demonstrated knowledge of ethics & compliance risk management. - Strong interpersonal skills and highly collaborative with strong ability to build relationships, gain credibility, and partner across functions to build consensus. - Proven ability to independently manage complex projects from initiation through completion. - Go Get It mindset and willingness to contribute wherever needed. - Clear communicator, team orientated, and willing to take initiative while thinking two steps ahead. - Confidence and flexibility to operate in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. - Inquisitiveness, along with the ability to spot issues, get to the heart of a matter, and articulate plans to address them. - Passionate about your work and a desire to have a big impact. - Enthusiastic about Uber! For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$137,000 per year - USD$152,000 per year. For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$152,000 per year - USD$168,500 per year. For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$152,000 per year - USD$168,500 per year. For Seattle, WA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$137,000 per year - USD$152,000 per year. For Washington, DC-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$152,000 per year - USD$168,500 per year. For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
