Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

Job Description

Working in a collaborative production team environment, this role is responsible for managing the production warehouse facility and department logistics staff, operation, assets and equipment. All objectives must meet safety and compliance requirements and align with creative, financial, and schedule targets for live shows, atmosphere offerings, and special projects in a themed environment.

Essential Responsibilities:

Provides management of daily activity for offsite warehouse facilities (Entertainment Production Center, seasonal storage, offsite warehousing) and logistics operations property-wide for Entertainment department.Assure facility, equipment, and process compliance with various regulatory agency and partner requirements, and maintain documentation.  Ensures safe and compliant work conditions, SOPs, and best practices.Develop a cohesive, accountable team through solid management and communication.Manage warehouse and Logistics team meetings and participate in company business meetings as necessary.Provide direct communication regarding the facility and logistics activities between projects and the department.Maintain efficient methods of asset storage, movement, and handling often for multiple, concurrent projects during all phases of production and operation.Oversees readiness of the production facility and equipment.Provides direct management for the use of asset tracking systems and inventories for inter-departmental Entertainment assets.Provide solutions for facility and equipment maintenance, organization and improvements.Develop and oversee adherence to annual operating budgets and schedules.Oversees vendor services and facility tenant improvement projects.Develop and maintain relationships with studio and park management to coordinate space allocations across the property.

QualificationsMinimum 5 years experience in warehousing and/or logistics, with Entertainment/Film asset experience.Minimum 3 years experience in a leadership role supervising people and process.Solid knowledge of warehousing, and transportation equipment and processes.Confidence and ability to effectively communicate appropriately with all levels of management and staffAbility to lead both union and non-union staff.Strong awareness of Environmental Safety standards.Comprehensive budgeting and financial skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Must be willing to work weekends, holidays and nights as required.

Desired Characteristics:

Bachelor’s degree in production, management, or related field; Certification in warehouse management.Solid background in managing technical theatre/entertainment based, or related elements.Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects concurrently, with confidence to multi-task.Ability to drive results of teams through strong leadership and development skills.Ability to identify and communicate creative solutions to challenges and to maintain a consistent focus on priorities with persistent follow-through.Ability to deal well with ambiguity and constant change, working in fast-paced environments with accelerated production schedules.A strong passion to drive high quality results in product as well as process.
