As an Employee Relations/Accommodations Manager, you will have a key role in helping to ensure a healthy work environment, including fostering a positive work culture. The demands of this role are dynamic and require an individual who has a positive mindset and thrives on working hard to tackle challenging tasks and to build new processes, products, and policies. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated and resilient and will possess expertise in evaluating reasonable accommodation requests and interplay with federal and state disability laws, deep knowledge of traditional employee relations, HR policy review and guidance, and strong project management and change management skills. This role requires a commitment to continuous improvement, collaboration with stakeholders, and a focus on enhancing the employee experience while upholding integrity and fairness.

What you’ll do…
This role reports to the Director of Employee Relations, and will be responsible for the following:
Evaluate workplace accommodation requests (including reasonable accommodations, return-to-work accommodations, and providing leave as an accommodation) and educate employees, People Leaders, and HR Partners about federal and state disability laws, internal policies, and the reasonable accommodation process. Review and evaluate accommodation requests, including engaging in the interactive process and documenting support provided.Providing high quality employee relations support that includes drafting and advising on HR policies. May also provide occasional performance management and/or investigation support.Utilize strong judgment and discretion to provide guidance on reasonable accommodation case work and HR policy inquiries. Liaise and engage with employees, HR Partners, People Leaders, and related cross functional partners to resolve escalations and proactively plan for statutory changes.Utilize a case management system to manage and track reasonable accommodation cases, policy escalations, and other case work from intake to resolution.Identify and drive process improvements and efficiencies to support high quality case management and data tracking across case work, including reasonable accommodation requests.Assure the quality of assigned employee relations programs and processes.Collaborate cross-functionally across HR and the Office of General Counsel to implement process improvements while ensuring compliance with state and federal employment and disability laws. Expertise with the ADA, ADAA, PWFA, and FMLA is highly valued.Proactively utilize data and metrics to identify employee trends and inform opportunities for training or improvements to policy and process. Scan the external environment for regulations, best practices, and trends to inform continuous improvement actions.Perform other duties as assigned.
