Purpose
This position is responsible for managing the development, implementation/maintenance, global oversight, and governance of environmental, health and safety (EHS) programs within the scope of responsibility. Take action to minimize risk to employees and facilities and to minimize EHS liability for the company.
Responsibilities
Owner and Subject Matter Expert (SME) on GEHS Technical Standards and Procedures, ensuring that standards and procedures are in place and maintained as appropriate to provide the foundation for standardized company EHS Programs, and to minimize EHS risk.Development of training courses to complement GEHS Technical Standards and enhance understanding of requirements across the enterprise.EHS SME for Engineering Standards, providing technical EHS input to standards as required.Participate in environmental, health and safety audits.Implement/manage back-office process for EHS Audit Program such as, but not limited to, provision of technical clarifications, data trending, audit metrics, action plan follow-ups, etc.Support of the Environmental, Health and Safety Documentation Program which consists of the Global EHS Management / Technical Standards and EHS Training.Monitor regulations and enforcement trends, conduct impact analyses, implement action plans for compliance and monitor global compliance.Implement and/or provide oversight for various EHS programs as assigned such as, but not limited to, EHS company-wide educational campaigns, EHS training/education for EHS teams’ enterprise wide, EHS Excellence Awards, and etc.Think strategically and ensure deliverables are aligned with broader organization and create awareness of this direction with affected members/business functions.Strategize beyond short-term deliverables and expectations; monitor trends and practices externally to own organization (both inside and outside of the company) and facilitate continuous improvements that have long-term business value.Lead and/or participate in cross functional teams to represent EHS objectives related to the subject matter and to meet the team’s overall strategic objectives and deliverables.Scope of position has global reach, represents company with external organizations, prepares or contributes to reports for regulatory agencies, and minimizes company liability related to EHS impacts.Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Science, Business, Industrial Safety, or related/equivalent degree.At least five (10) years of combined experience managing environmental, health, safety, and sustainability, project management, systems administration programs to assure compliance with government regulations and company policies.Work experience in implementing EHS regulations, developing programs, conducting incident investigations, EHS metrics, interacting with regulatory agencies and external organizations and managing cross functional teamsAbility to establish measurable project goals and implementation plans, balance conflicting work demands, and develop action plans including the identification of resource requirements. Ability to develop standards and /or policies that meet business objectives. Ability to manage complex data sets and produce usable outputs. Ability to manage responsibilities over a large geographic regionPhysical; Walking, sitting and standing. Ability to work with computers, database, and integration of information tracking systems. Fluent in English, both oral and writing.General knowledge of Quality regulations and standards affecting chemical, biological and medical devices (i.e. Quality Systems and FDA regulations) is desirable. Position requires knowledge on local, state, and OSHA and EPA regulation. General understanding of general industry safety and health standards (NIOSH, ANSI) is required. Understanding of fleet vehicle and/or transportation safety is preferred. Demonstrated data management skills preferred.Problem Solving:

Work is mostly performed in an office environment and plant environment. Also, work may require flexible schedules at different shifts and extended work hours when performing EHS evaluations and training.25% travel required across North and South America (Canada, USA and LATAM).

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
