Manager, E&S Quality & Continuous Improvement

Your Opportunity as Equipment & Services Quality and Continuous Improvement Manager

You will lead the quality organization within North American Away from Home Equipment & Services (E&S) team and drive quality development, equipment service safety, and continuous improvement across the entire E&S organization. You will coordinate audits to ensure compliance with equipment specifications and material dispensing and oversee technical improvements. You will also ensure continuous improvement efforts aligning with steering team objectives to drive continued customer experience.

Location: 1 Strawberry Ln, Orrville, OH 44667 (J.M. Smucker Corporate Office)

Work Arrangements: Hybrid, onsite a minimum of 9 days a month primarily during core weeks as determined by the Company; maybe more as business need requires 

In this Role Your Responsibilities will Include:  

Quality Management: ensuring that we are within compliance. Developing quality standards for equipment that meets our business needs. Creating work instructions (developing SOPs)

Project Management: working with our R&D team cross-functionally to develop equipment that meets the needs of our customers and is easily serviceable by our technicians. Leading projects to commercially launch equipment to meet business needs.

Continuous Improvement: evaluating current processes and policies. Implementing changes to optimize efficiencies

Engineering Change Management: developing processes to improve SOPs and ensure that they are properly documented before rolling out best practices to the rest of the organization

What We are Looking For:  

Minimum Requirements: 

Bachelor’s Degree

5 years of experience in Quality Management/technical support

2 years of people management experience

Experience working with 3rd Party Vendors to develop quality standards

3 years of Continuous Improvement experience

Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role:  

2 years of leading a Quality organization

Lean Certification

Technical experience in the Food & Beverage Industry

Experience dealing with regulations

Mechanical or Process Engineering Experience
