What Diversity, Equity & Inclusion contributes to Cardinal Health
Human Resources designs, implements and delivers human resource programs and policies, including recruitment, talent management, diversity and inclusion, compensation and benefits, among others. This function anticipates and plans for long-term human resource needs in alignment with business strategies.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion develops programs that support a diverse and inclusive culture within Cardinal Health. This job family ensures company compliance with internal and external policies, reports diversity statistics to employees and management, and investigates and addresses employee grievances. Diversity, Equity & Inclusion also provides trainings and education to business leaders regarding how to foster inclusion and promote diversity in the organization.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Chief Diversity Officer, the Manager, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion will be responsible for implementing short, mid, and long-term strategies for cultural and organizational change to enhance the diversity of our workforce and to strengthen our existing diversity efforts through DE&I Strategies, Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), Multi-Cultural Communities (MCCs), DE&I Ambassadors and the HQ DE&I Cabinet. Working with Local Diversity Councils and other external partners to enhance and communicate the organizations diversity, equity and inclusion brand. Responsible for building relationships with both internal (primary) and external partners (secondary) and will advocate actions that will help the company achieve the advantages that a diverse workforce provides with a clear focus on aligning our diversity efforts with our corporate business strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Work with Chief Diversity Officer to implement a comprehensive DE&I strategy, as well as related programs/initiatives and projects across the enterpriseGrow and sustain relationships between internal (primary) and external (secondary) diversity related organizations that support our diversity strategy while adopting best practices to include assessing and delivering on existing partnerships, launching new partnerships and assessing for ROI regularly to determine changes/shifts in partnerships as needed (Examples: Global Diversity Forum,  Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA), Out & Equal (O&E), to name a few)Develop and support internal employee networks and teams as an effective means of developing, communicating and implementing diversity initiatives throughout the organizationProvide direction to business segments through ERGs, MCCs and the DE&I Cabinet on tactical programs and systems related to attracting, retaining, and promoting a diverse workforce, while establishing an inclusive work environment in support of Cardinal Health corporate values, policies and practicesDevelop a means to measure and provide internal reporting on the progress of ERGs and MCCs diversity initiativesSupport a collaborative relationship with our internal Learning and Delivery team and our Employee Relations team.Partner with our legal team and data governance team on diversity initiatives in various countries to make sure they are following country required governmental reporting and regulations. Partner with HR-Business Partners to deliver on this oversightMust have an ability to partner and team creatively and virtually within tight budget parametersPartner successfully with the Communications team to deliver on DE&I Communications strategies

Job Location: Dublin, Ohio (4 days/week in-office, 1 day/week remote)


Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR or a related field, or equivalent work experience, preferredMinimum of 5 years of related experience, preferredExperience in the DE&I space or related function with responsibility in customer service excellence, internal/external relations and/or diversity management in a large corporate setting or national organization focused on strategic and/or diversity issuesAbility to manage work plans for a large internal customer/stakeholder populationExperience creating and fostering positive work environments and results for diverse populationsRecruiting and Staffing knowledge preferred but not requiredExperience collaborating with other departments, as necessary, to align goals, work plans, resolve issues and ensure effective customer serviceDemonstrated performance with coaching and developing teams to consistently deliver excellent customer service in demanding and intense environmentsCross functional/multi-organizational experiencesAbility to travel up to 25%
