**JOB SUMMARY**
The MDS team provides digital solutions for all Marriott brand hotels, globally. This centralized in-house team provides individual hotels with a range of digital services, and functions as an agency-like model within the Global Digital organization.
The Manager, Digital Consulting, Marriott Digital Services (MDS) China is directly responsible for the daily management of digital activation efforts for hotels participating in MDS programs within the Greater China (GC) region. The Manager will support MDS China programs, primarily the Standard & Premium offerings. These programs are focused on providing comprehensive channel optimization services, including, but not limited to, direct channel and key local channel content optimization and management, program performance and reporting, and other critical local activation techniques. The goal is to provide custom hotel-level digital activation, optimization and reporting to drive direct bookings and increase online awareness across a wide spectrum of services.
This position The Manager, Digital Consulting, MDS China, South is responsible for setting program strategy, aligning with regional leadership, defining expectations, providing performance reports and ensuring the highest level of service is provided. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Digital Consulting, MDS China, South.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
+ BS/BA degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality, or related major, preferred.
+ 3+ years digital marketing experience required, experience with hotels a plus.
+ Agency work experience preferred; primarily in a property services/account services role.
**CORE WORK ACTIVITIES**
**Regional and GC Campaign Support**
+ Work together with Field Marketing Team to lead end-to-end campaign planning, including briefing and Q&A sessions.
+ Provide expert consultation on campaign tactics and digital channels.
+ Review campaign proposals and share insights to enhance performance.
+ Consolidate and refine product offerings for greater impact.
+ Coordinate landing page (LP) development and campaign execution.
+ Provide livestreaming support, including onsite assistance.
+ Track campaign results and report on regional initiative performance.
**MDS Program Management & Strategic Execution**
+ Manage and track all MDS program tactics to ensure timely, high-quality execution.
+ Maintain up-to-date records of property statuses and performance.
+ Proactively manage re-enrollment and renewal processes to meet satisfaction and retention targets.
+ Monitor billable and non-billable hours to ensure accurate cost recovery.
+ Track overall program performance and recommend strategic adjustments as needed.
**Hotel Engagement & Enablement**
+ Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with properties through open and consistent communication.
+ Provide ongoing digital marketing consultation, performance reviews, and strategy recommendations.
+ Deliver business reviews and participate in regional and new hotel visits.
+ Conduct discovery calls, regular check-ins, and reporting meetings during the enrollment cycle.
+ Interpret performance reports, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
+ Conduct training sessions on digital channels, systems, and MDS programs.
+ Share best practices and updates on platform and channel enhancements.
+ Conduct onboarding sessions for new Digital Sales leaders and DOSMs.
+ Answer hotel or owner questions as appropriate.
+ Address hotel and owner inquiries promptly, escalating issues when appropriate.
+ Troubleshoot system issues and provide guidance on proper tool usage.
**MDS Internal Operations & Collaboration**
+ Promote a positive department culture and work environment.
+ Provide feedback to enhance internal work processes and systems.
+ Support onboarding and training of new team members.
+ Work with internal MDS Operations teams to ensure programs deliver a cohesive digital strategy leveraging local channels, search engines, paid media, and reporting tactics.
+ Solicit property feedback, make strategic recommendations for additional services or tactics to align with hotel goals and on-the-ground needs.
+ Foster a positive team culture and collaborative work environment.
+ Contribute feedback to optimize internal processes and tools.
+ Support onboarding and training of new team members.
+ Collaborate with internal MDS Ops teams to ensure cohesive strategies across local channels, paid media, search, and reporting.
+ Gather property feedback and recommend tailored tactics to meet local needs.
+ Engages in frequent communication with MDS support teams through established platforms (Slack, Teams, etc).
**Digital Channel Support**
+ Organize quarterly business reviews (QBRs) and track market trends.
+ Explore new channels, opportunities and pilots.
+ Coordinate resolution of rate disparity issues.
+ Present digital channel updates during workshops.
**Other Responsibilities**
+ Ensure timely and accurate updates to managers and team members.
+ Prepare reports and presentations for the regional commercial leader.
+ Support digital channel event activations.
+ Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
