The Manager, Development – South Asia will work with the Senior Director, Development – South Asia to provide a point of leverage in development deal administration/management and assist the efficiency and productivity of the Deal Team (i.e. Directors & Senior Director) in the pursuit of the strategic objective of the company to “expand our global footprint” in the development of hotels that carry our brands.
You will execute the South Asia Growth Strategy, including but not limited to originating leads for new hotel projects and negotiating and contracting projects in alignment with the enterprise's objectives.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Your role is important and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique.
Development Strategy & Reporting: With directions from the Senior Director, you will work effectively with colleagues, industry contacts, and competitors to assist in drafting Hilton’s development strategy for the various markets within South Asia for our target brands and business models. After that, you will take ownership of reporting progress in pursuit of the strategy.
Lead Origination: Actively work to generate quality project leads, through all available sources, which conform to the agreed development strategy, brand strategies, and technical standards. You should be expected to be a self-starter and naturally inquisitive in seeking opportunities to grow our brand presence in South Asia.
Lead Analysis & Evaluation: Work with the Development Team and external parties to provide an efficient and accurate assessment of project leads/opportunities, to achieve an early consensus on the projects’ inherent risks and opportunities. Filter opportunities and establish the appropriate prioritization and allocation of projects. This aspect of the job will require field work and travel.
Development Authorities (“DA”): Assist Directors in the compilation of the Development Authority (business case) for projects and after that help to facilitate DA passing through the internal approval process in strict accordance with the Deal Approval Policy.
Other Deal Approval Items: Request AOP language and prepare Hotel Name Approval form.
Project Due Diligence: Assist Directors to make certain that a complete and structured Due Diligence process is thoroughly conducted for all potential parties that Hilton proposes to contract with. This process is to be conducted in line with the company’s strict Due Diligence guidelines.
Proposal and Presentation Compilation: You will be responsible for drafting a variety of proposals and presentations for the Development Team that are targeted to a wide range of both internal and external audiences. Once the objectives for each proposal or presentation have been set, there will be an expectation that you will manage all aspects of preparation and on-time delivery of a product of high professional quality.
Marketing: Work with the Brand organization and the B2B Marketing Team, Managers are actively engaged in the conceptualization, design, and production of a wide variety of Development Marketing aids & collateral. Provide updated statistics to the Graphic Designer for the Hilton enterprise Deck and other Development Marketing Material
Hilton Worldwide Profile: You will work to sustain and grow the profile of Hilton in the wider marketplace, government, business, and social environs.
Portfolio of Brands: You are to maintain up-to-date knowledge of the Brand portfolio and respective product initiatives and developments, to allow the Development Team to optimally position the individual Brands and Hilton in the marketplace.
Record & Retention: Maintain up-to-date development repository: Pitch materials, industry reports, all approved Das.
LOU invoice: Provide finance updates on deals with LOU signed and raise the invoice. Seek updates on the developers’ pending deals for potential bad debt.
