Role Overview
The Digital labs organization is looking for Developer team member who will be analysing requirements, designing, and implementing Lab Execution System (LES) solutions to meet the business needs of our stakeholders. The Lab Execution System (LES) Developer is responsible for configuring electronic testing workflows for laboratory execution, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and implementing lean methodologies to enhance lab efficiency. The ideal candidate should have a relevant functional knowledge with Biovia/MODA LES Compose tools, lab testing processes and knowledge of lean and agile methodologies. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills are crucial for this role.
What will you do in this role:
Develop and maintain LES software solutions using Biovia OneLab or Moda suite of tools and technologies.Configure and customize electronic testing workflows for laboratory execution.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Material management, Instrument interface, Quality management system and Site testing SMEs to optimize workflows.Implement lean methodologies to streamline processes, eliminate waste, and enhance efficiency.Apply agile methodologies to manage and deliver projects effectively, using tools like JIRA and Confluence.Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to LES software, applying strong problem-solving skills.Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and deliver training.Utilize network thinking to understand and manage complex dependencies within the systemDevelop and optimize workflows using Pipeline Pilot and Biovia OneLab Expression functionality.Develop test plans, execute testing scenarios, and validate solutions to ensure they meet business and functional requirements.Provide training to end-users and create user manuals or documentation to facilitate knowledge transfer.What Should you have:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Lifesciences field with 3+ years’ experience related field.Experience with Labware LIMS, Biovia Onelab, Moda or any other LES tools and technologies.Strong understanding of laboratory testing processes and workflows.Knowledge of lean methodology and its application in process improvement.Experience with agile methodologies and tools like JIRA and Confluence.Experience with SDLC processes including requirement gathering, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.Experience in validation testing to ensure software quality and compliance.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Effective communication skills to work with various teams and stakeholders.Experience with Pipeline Pilot and/or LabWare LIMS capabilities for sample tracking, data collection, and reporting will be plus.Who we are:
