Position Summary:
Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager this role will teach, coach and drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on improving efficiencies across department functions. This position is also responsible for leadership of a supervisory team, process development and standardization within the department.
Job Responsibilities (You Will):
Direct the day-to-day activities of the department, which includes:
Ensure Supervisors are aligning labor resources with daily/hourly work volumes Ensure standard processes are documented and consistently followed. Monitor key performance indicators to identify opportunities to improve service quality and team results. Collaborate with cross functional management teams to align best practices across all business groups. Ensure accurate and organized maintenance of training and safety records. Mentor Supervisors in leading team engagement and aligning to Grainger principles. Develop and maintain strong business relationships with external stakeholders and suppliers. Champion and develop leadership skills in the Supervisor team. Lead departmental safety focus, including standardization of safety practices.
