Overview Razorfish is looking for a manager to join its Data Science and Analytics practice. This is an analytics, research, and consulting team that delivers data-driven insights to our clients. Each member of the team is aligned to one or more clients and works closely with other Data Science team members, our clients, and colleagues across other disciplines such as: Client Management, Strategy, Search, Social, Media, User Experience, and Technology. In this role you will contribute to data-driven projects across a client account. You will have support from data leadership and fellow analysts. Core areas of focus for this group include applications in measurement planning and strategy, customer segmentations, testing frameworks, measurement and optimization solutions, performance reporting and analyses, personalization, and forecasting. Responsibilities Act as the paid media subject matter expert, providing strategic input and in-depth analysis of platform performance Understand paid media and how the channels interact in a full-funnel marketing mix Manage the end-to-end process for data internal and external client project work Demonstrate marketing business acumen and how our data services fit into client strategies and objectives Collaborate cross-functionally with media planners, strategists, and activation teams to align on goals, manage timelines, and ensure data accuracy across deliverables Lead client readouts, define requirements and implementation of data tools and products Data Strategy Independently identify key issues and objectives to focus on for internal and client needs with minimal oversight Apply more holistic strategic thinking to elevate either a client's: 1) marketing goals or 2) data sophistication and maturity forward. For example, a manager will show initiative in understanding strategic frameworks and how to apply them to client-specific needs. Communication Skills Thoughtful contributor to internal and client discussions, having synthesized input and feedback Independently prepares internal and client presentations and necessary outlines Own work and delivers materials with confidence, and comfortable with supplying appropriate responses to questions that are more vague or not directly related to what was presented Show confidence in meetings offering ideas and suggestions, reflecting mastery of tasks and work Lead team discussions and able to present alternative solutions Build client documents from scratch with little reliance on templates and minimal oversight Use best practices in formatting within presentation tools (PPT, Google Slides, etc.) Transform data into visually appealing presentations with an emphasis on storytelling, adapting formats and charts as necessary Client Engagement Is the day-to-day internal data resource while becoming the client go-to resource Can lead the client through multiple programs / projects from start to finish Display professional, articulate, and mature presence in all aspects of client relationship building Understand how to document and respond to client feedback and recognize when to raise issues Question output and reflects on deep knowledge of client’s business – financials, industry economics, competitive dynamics, marketing channels, and client strategic issues Tools & Techniques Shows mastery of multiple data tools and platforms and techniques Mastery of statistical concepts and one coding language Ability to assist in all aspects of vendor assessments Proactively identifies own learning gaps and seeks to answer them through internal resources or asking experts QA and maintain data integrity at collection, extraction, and activation point Analytics Planning and Implementation Independently able to complete all steps involved in learning agendas / measurement plans Proactive in solving issues with measurement plan implementation Reporting and Insight Generation Execute frequent ad hoc and recurring data pulls to support ongoing business needs, creative testing, and campaign optimization Deliver robust cross-channel reporting and insights across TV, digital streaming, audio, paid social, paid search, and paid display. Design and analyze results of attitudinal studies to measure brand lift across key campaigns Consistently demonstrates ability to synthesize implications ("so whats?") from analysis and refine approach Consistently use insights works across disciplines to generate and develop actionable recommendations to the client Qualifications 5-7 years of experience in analytics or strategy with an advertising agency, management consulting company, or ad tech company Proficiency in Excel and Tableau; experience with Google Campaign Manager and social platform data tools Experience building and working within BI/Visualizations tools (Excel, Tableau, and PowerPoint) Experience with modern statistical learning methods (regression techniques, classification models, supervised and unsupervised learning, etc.) Passion for online advertising and emerging trends in the digital landscape Experience supporting a team and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment A tenacity to solve problems, find solutions and seek out the unknown At ease in front of clients, as in-person presentations and meeting Additional information The Power of One starts with our people! This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met.
