Be part of a team that makes a real difference. Job Description Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and strategic Manager for our Casualty Analytics Group to lead a team of analysts. In this role, you will provide leadership and direction to ensure the team delivers high-quality data solutions that drive business value. You will be responsible for overseeing analytics projects, developing team capabilities, and serving as the bridge between technical data professionals and business stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of data and analytics professionals Create a collaborative environment that fosters innovation, continuous learning, and professional growth Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members Identify skill gaps and implement training programs to enhance team capabilities Project Management: Oversee multiple analytics projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes Prioritize team workload based on business impact and resource constraints Remove obstacles and resolve issues that impede project progress Implement agile methodologies to improve project delivery and team efficiency Strategic Planning: Collaborate with VP, Data & Analytics to develop and execute the analytics roadmap Align team objectives with broader business goals and strategies Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to guide strategic decisions Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with business unit leaders and cross-functional stakeholders Translate complex business requirements into actionable analytics projects Present insights and recommendations to executive leadership Advocate for data-driven decision making across the organization Technical Oversight: Ensure data governance standards are maintained across all projects Guide the development of scalable data solutions that meet business needs Oversee the creation and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and data visualizations Drive the adoption of best practices in data analysis, visualization, and communication Principal Working Relationships: VP, Data & Analytics Business Unit Leadership EVP, Product Cross-Functional Stakeholders in Product, Finance, Sales & Marketing IT and Data Engineering Teams Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related discipline 8+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or related fields 3+ years of people management experience, preferably leading technical teams Strong understanding of data analysis methodologies and visualization techniques Proficiency with SQL and familiarity with Python or R Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms) Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively Strong problem-solving skills and business acumen Preferred: Master's degree in a relevant field (Data Science, Business Analytics, etc.) Experience in the workers' compensation or P&C insurance industry Knowledge of big data technologies such as Snowflake Experience with analytics platforms like Hex Understanding of machine learning concepts and applications Benefits We’re committed to supporting your ultimate well-being through our total compensation package offerings that support your health, wealth and self. Benefits eligibility may differ depending on full-time or part-time status. Compensation depends on the applicable US geographic market. The expected base pay for this position ranges from $105,000 - $150,000 annually, and will be based on a number of additional factors including skills, experience, and education.
