The Manager, Critical Asset Protection (CAP) Investigations role is based in Frederick, MD, USA, within our dynamic Cybersecurity Program. Here, you will collaborate with world-class professionals in a strictly regulated environment.

The Supervisor for CAP Investigations holds a position of trust and is responsible for coordinating the monitoring, triaging, and prevention of internal threats to safeguard company data and intellectual property. Using an array of security solutions, the Manager – CAP Investigations will support critical projects related to insider threat and data loss prevention. This team works closely with Digital Forensics Examiners to triage alerts, analyze log data, and assist with investigations while driving process improvement and maturity initiatives for the Critical Asset Protection & Investigation program.

Keys to Success:

Manage and mentor a team of Security Analysts responsible for Insider Threat and Data Loss PreventionPresent findings to Senior Stakeholders at the Executive levelMonitor and triage internal threat activity using various tools, technologies, and solutionsConsolidate critical findings, create reports, and prepare presentations to review findings with key partnersDevelop use-cases to enhance detection and alerting capabilitiesRespond to critical alerts and escalate to forensic examiners as neededContribute to the development of metrics and key performance indicatorsDevelop standard operating procedures, playbooks, and user documentationProvide process improvement recommendations to streamline incident handling, detection, and response proceduresCollaborate with other security and IT teams to maintain and develop the team’s security solutions/toolsAct as a Deputy to the Sr. Manager | Cyber Fraud & CAP Investigations

Experience

5+ years of IT, Cyber Security, or related experienceExperience with DLP, SIEM, EDR, IRM, SOAR or UEBA solutions a plusExperience as Tier 1 or Tier 2 support a plusLeadership experience a plusBachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity or a related field – equivalent professional experience will be consideredCyber Security certifications a plus

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

A self-starter who is highly inquisitive with the ability to work independently across various functionsAbility to make informed analytic judgments and thoroughly document findings in a written and/or presentation formatPossess an investigative approach with strong analytic and creative problem-solving skillsAbility to communicate complex ideas to a wide range of audiences including stakeholders, management, and IT team membersStrong attention to detail and organizational skills are a mustAbility to identify trends and patterns in data to make sound decisions and conclusionsFamiliarity with basic Windows and Mac operating system functionalityProficient with the core MS Office suiteAbility to normalize, organize, correlate, and analyze log data using a variety of tools such as Excel, PowerBI, Splunk, Tableau, etc. a plus.Proficient understanding of cyber and insider threats preferredCrowdstrike and Zscaler experience a plus

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

On site office based. Travel and on-call availability may be required at times.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Maryland is $113,500.00–$165,200.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
