Job Description
The Manager, Creative Development & Studio Design is responsible for leading teams that plan, design, and execute marketing tactics and programs for one or more accounts, depending on account size. Assigns the appropriate talent and directs multiple creative teams or individuals (which frequently include contractors) in the development of materials for professional and direct-to-patient communications, sales meetings, sales training, and internal communication programs, including product launches, sales collateral, web/multimedia, and videos. In addition to creative oversight, they are expected to own select high-stakes projects. Reports to and supports the Senior Manager, Creative Communications. Works closely with all agency functions, including their account management counterparts, to ensure that final deliverables meet strategic and technical objectives.
Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day creative workflow, including timelines and budgets when appropriateLead by example; be collaborative and open-minded; know when something should be challengedHelp develop and review creative briefs that provide clear strategic insight(s) and creative inspirationEvaluate concepts creatively and strategically to ensure they follow the creative brief; provide specific direction to creative teams to guide them through the processTranslate marketing objectives and creative strategies into business-building creative ideas and tacticsEnsure visual and verbal communications are consistent with existing brand standardsLeverage problem-solving skills to devise innovative solutions; present complex information in ways that are easily understoodNegotiate with team (and clients) to amend ideas in line with all of their wishes; explain what is and is not possible; keep account management abreast of progress and answersMeet regularly with Senior Manager, Creative Communications, to discuss evolution of projects; audit, identify, and present information that may impact creative deliverablesManage and cultivate the career development of all creative staff membersQualifications
BA/BS in Advertising, Business/Marketing or equivalent.SKILLS: - Highly creative and conceptual - Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office for Mac; working knowledge of PCs a plus - Experience with a wide array of media, including print, video, online, and events/displays - Firm understanding of high-level brand strategy, industry trends, and design principles, including applicable regulations and standards affecting pharmaceutical productsSKILLS: (cont.) - Strong ability and experience in leading, directing, and managing creative teams and large projects - Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment with the flexibility and patience to sometimes process and direct on the fly - Solid understanding of digital media as well as the marketing industry at large; ability and confidence to perform in the changing technology landscape - Confident & passionate presenter, comfortable representing a team in front of groupsSKILLS: (cont.) - Extremely organized, with ability to manage their own time and keep many creatives on schedule - Strong interpersonal skillsEXPERIENCE: - 7–10 years of advertising experience with an ad agency, communications firm, or in-house corporate communications department in a creative management capacity. Previous experience managing and executing advertising and promotion projects. Experience working with freelance talent

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
