Job DescriptionThe Corporate Strategy and Development team works across Avery Dennison to define long term strategies and bring companies, technology, and talent into the company through mergers and acquisitions. The team is responsible for developing and informing the company’s strategy by identifying industry trends, and deep market and competitive analysis, as well as sourcing, negotiating, structuring, and executing impactful acquisitions. A key part of the team's value is building and maintaining relationships with potential targets, startups, VCs and bankers. You will work with senior leaders in the team and across the enterprise.
You will :
Partner with cross functional stakeholders to assess business strategies and identify acquisition and investment opportunities that accelerate Avery Dennison’s profitable growth strategies.
Conduct rigorous market/competitive analysis and valuation/modeling work to provide detailed guidance and insight regarding new spaces to enter and potential acquisitions.
Support due diligence and integration efforts for acquisitions.
QualificationsWe are looking for someone who can be a key member of our diverse global team, support key strategy projects and due diligence activities, and is passionate about generating profitable growth and innovation.
To be successful in your role, you'll have and do the following:
Bachelor’s degree (preferably in engineering, science or finance).
5+ years relevant work experience should include strategy (premier management consulting firm, or strategy group of large corporation) and valuation work. Demonstrate an “owner mindset” .
Excellent project management and coordination skills in multi-functional team settings; able to support a team against challenging deadlines.
Demonstrated experience in assessing markets and evaluating the attractiveness of core segments, targets and adjacencies – both quantitatively and qualitatively.
Strong experience in due diligence- with exposure to general business/management issues and their resolution.
Professional and approachable style; able to work with various functions and levels in an organization; high degree of personal integrity.
Additional InformationThe salary range for this position is $140,000 - $165,000/ year.
