Manager, Corporate R2R Lead

Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025. Key Responsibilities + Serve as the day-to-day liaison between the Corporate Accounting team and Accenture’s BPO R2R team, overseeing execution of journal entries, reconciliations, and close tasks + Provide review, approval, and final sign-off on journal entries and reconciliations completed by the BPO team across corporate accounting areas, specifically payroll accounting + Monitor BPO task completion and escalate delays or quality concerns to the appropriate Leadership + Lead daily or recurring check-ins with the BPO lead to track status of close deliverables, issue logs, and resolution progress + Validate that BPO-prepared entries meet Versant’s documentation, backup, and control standards prior to posting + Partner with each Corporate Accounting Manager to ensure their BPO support is properly aligned, trained, and monitored across O&T accounting and Corporate Accounting + Coordinate across teams to prioritize high-impact or time-sensitive close activities supported by the BPO + Maintain BPO task trackers, support documentation audit trails, and prepare status updates for leadership as needed + Contribute to the development of SOPs, training guides, and continuous improvement feedback loops for BPO-supported activities + Support SOX compliance by ensuring BPO-prepared activities align with documented controls and walkthroughs + Collaborate with the R2R Accounting Operations team to enforce process ownership and standardization across close cycles Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred. + 4+ years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, or audit, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. + Experience working in a publicly traded company or a Big 4 accounting firm is preferred. + Understanding of SEC reporting, U.S. GAAP, and SOX compliance requirements. + Proficiency in ERP systems is preferred. + Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills. + High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and transparency.
