=Main Tasks=
- Develop strategic internal and external communications for the Regional Business Management Unit Engineering Plastics in Asia Pacific
- Work collaboratively with the RBM EP leadership team, regional and country marketing and sales teams, as well as Local Business Managers to translate business priorities into integrated marketing communication strategies and plans
- Derive and drive effective and efficient communication plans for the region and key countries/sub-region (i.e., China, India, Japan, Korea and ASEAN) considering all relevant communication channels including but not limited to media relations, digital marketing, social media, events, trade fairs, etc.
- Identify actively communications opportunities such as new product launches, commercialized projects, joint development, customer success stories etc.
- Manage communication budget for the Regional Business Management Unit
- Handle incident and crisis communications and collaborate with global/regional/country communication team when required.
=Key Activities=
1. Implement communication activities for Regional Business Management Unit:
- Provide writing and editing support for all communications including press releases, presentations, social media post, newsletters, etc.
- Initiate media interview and speaking opportunities that can showcase innovation capabilities and thought leadership.
- Coordinate communications projects with vendors and contractors for the development and production of all promotional materials.
- Support countries in the implementation and oversee this process.
- Applies a data-driven approach to drive communication success and to support decision-making processes.
2. Contribute to the successful planning and execution of BASF's participation at CHINAPLAS
- Act as the Project Manager and develop creative concept to enhance BASF's presence at CHINAPLAS including:
~ Identify innovative exhibits to be showcased in the booth.
~ Work with vendors to design and set up the booth.
~ Identify designers and customers who can speak at the open forum.
~ Support media activities such as press conference and media tour.
~ Plan logistics effectively including arrangement of accommodation and transportation for participants.
~ Manage the project budget.
=Job Requirements=
- Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communications, Journalism or Public Relations.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in areas such as marketing communications, corporate communications, advertising, public relations. Prior work experiences in a matrix organization preferred.
- Strong business sense – ability to understand business needs and derive communications strategy.
- With a proven track record of planning and implementing best-in-class communication plans that have generated concrete business results.
- Extensive experiences in event management such as exhibitions, conference, roadshow, etc.
- Excellent creativity, conceptual and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of digital marketing tools, web data analytics and content management systems.
- Ability to effectively work under tight deadlines and manage projects independently.
- Willing to take additional tasks and flexible to travel.
- A good team player with excellent verbal and written skills.
