Manager, Commercial Operations

Job Overview

Manage medium to large scale projects across Operational Effectiveness Services (OES) and the organization, delivering global solutions that identify and accelerate operational productivity, optimization and efficiency through change and process improvements increasing value-add throughout the organization.  Assume responsibility and ownership of projects and business challenges developing establishment as subject matter expert ensuring high quality, timely, on budget deliverables in accordance with SOPs, policies, and practices.

Essential Functions


•    Plan, organize, and manage project to drive successful completion of RWS Global Operations strategic initiatives
•    Knowledge of commercial contracting, proposals and associated tasks and process. 
•    Convert business requirements into tangible solutions, and drive execution of solutions to drive tangible ROI for the business
•    Project Manage roll out of systems and process integration across RWS organisation
•    Manage programs, timelines, relationships and coordination with stakeholders across business units to meet business objectives
•    Remove obstacles impeding implementation of Global Operations strategic initiatives, and ensures continuous coordination between business units collaborating closely RWS counterparts across the business
•    Participate in key Business Process Optimization initiatives utilizing Lean and other business process optimization methods to drive increased operational efficiencies and improved KPIs

Qualifications


• Bachelor's Degree in life sciences, business, or related field Req
• 7 years of experience in a relevant function such as clinical operations, applied math, IT, data management, business, laboratory, project management Req Or
• Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience Req
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and other data capture and compilation tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong project leadership, staff management, and/or project planning skills
• Strong attention to detail/quality control skills while driving initiatives to closure
• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
• Competent presentation and interpersonal skills meeting the needs of all levels within the organization up to and including the Executive Management
• Ability to successfully lead, manage and motivate staff
• Ability to demonstrate and apply relevant and evolving subject matter expertise illustrating mastered understanding of process / data analysis techniques and methodologies
• Ability to successfully and quickly grasp, understand and apply various analysis techniques and methodologies
• Ability to innovatively solve problems with demonstrated success delivering desired results according to quality guidelines and timelines
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members, management, operations staff, clients, and executive management members
