This position requires direct patient healthcare knowledge and experience to support students and faculty in learning, practicing, and being assessed on clinical skills aligned with the directed curriculum. The Manager is responsible for providing orientation for first- and third-year students, facilitating graduate medical education ( GME ) readiness opportunities, and coordinating Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCEs). This role directly supervises staff within the Office of Medical Education ( OME ) at the Athens campus and collaborates with leadership, staff, and faculty across all three HCOM campuses to coordinate CTAC’s operational and curricular activities. Additionally, this role includes recruiting, training, and managing the performance of Standardized Patients (SPs) to support clinical skills development and ensure successful delivery of the curriculum. Position Responsibilities: + Manage resources, direct personnel, and coordinate educational activities in the Athens Clinical Training and Assessment Center, including supervising and coordinating the Athens CTAC area and associated personnel, and interviewing, hiring, training, and supervising Standardized Patients. + Coordinate the operational and curricular activities of the CTAC labs and staff across all campuses, collaborating and communicating with the Senior Directors of Administration and other relevant curricular staff and faculty for each campus to ensure standardization, consistency, and quality. + Coordinate the implementation of non-Professional Health and Wellness Coaching (non- PHWC ) curriculum events and programs held in CTAC or Clinical Skills spaces. + Coordinate Basic Life Support ( BLS ) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support ( ACLS ) classes and supporting materials, including instruction as needed. + Act as a liaison between clinical faculty and students regarding the organization and implementation of clinical labs, simulations, practical exams, written exams, and remediations. Maintain or create manuals, processes, checklists, and communication mechanisms as needed for operational consistency across CTAC labs. + Maintain working knowledge of learning system technologies as well as equipment used by faculty in the curriculum such as task trainers, manikins, and other CTAC equipment to support teaching and learning. Monitor and make recommendations related to equipment maintenance and upgrades needed in all CTAC labs. Oversee the collection of data on learning outcomes for all activities and collaborate with faculty on disseminating findings. + Maintain working knowledge of learning system technologies as well as equipment used by faculty in the curriculum, such as task trainers, manikins, and other CTAC equipment, to support teaching and learning. Monitor and make recommendations related to equipment maintenance and upgrades needed in all CTAC labs. Oversee the collection of data on learning outcomes for all activities and collaborate with faculty on disseminating findings. Minimum Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree. + 6 years of related professional experience, including direct patient care in a clinical healthcare setting. + 1 year of supervisory experience. Preferred Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in a clinical or healthcare-related field. Offers outside of this range of subject to additional approvals.
