We are building a centralized Clinical Affairs organization that will operate as an internal Clinical Research Organization (CRO), supporting five distinct operating companies. This innovative model is designed to deliver scalable, high-quality clinical research services across the enterprise.

The Manager, Clinical Portfolio will play an instrumental role in shaping and executing this vision. This associate will lead a team to support this clinical portfolio function who drive consistent Visual Project Management (VPM) and usage of other Danaher Business System (DBS) tools. The role is critical in aligning clinical program execution with strategic priorities, optimizing resource deployment, and driving operational excellence across a diverse and dynamic clinical portfolio.

This position is part of the Danaher Diagnostics organization and is a remote role located within the US. At Danaher Diagnostics, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Lead and develop a high-performing team to support high-quality clinical program execution by leveraging Danaher Business System (DBS) tools.Oversee the strategic planning and execution of the Clinical Affairs portfolio, including portfolio governance activities such as risk management, milestone tracking, and performance reporting to senior leadership, ensuring alignment with business priorities and regulatory requirements.Drive resource planning and optimization across clinical programs, ensuring efficient allocation and utilization of talent and budget.Collaborate cross-functionally across the Clinical Center of Excellence (CCOE) to ensure integrated planning and execution.Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and innovation within the Clinical Affairs Operations team


The essential requirements of the job include: 

Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of experience in clinical research or clinical affairs, or Master’s/Doctoral degree with 5+ years of same experience.4 years direct leadership experience, including managing people and cross-functional teams.Demonstrated understanding of clinical trial design, GCP, and regulatory requirements (FDA, EMA, etc.).Experience working with all levels of management and consulting with key internal business stakeholders, with the proven ability to influence for greater outcome.Strong strategic and tactical planning skills along with strong written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

Experience in building or operating within a CRO or shared services modelFamiliarity with M&A integration or post-acquisition transformationGlobal clinical operations experiencePortfolio management tools and clinical trial management systems (CTMS).Implementing DBS or Lean tools in a clinical or operational setting.PMP or similar project management certification.

The annual salary range OR the hourly range for this role is $140K-$160K. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
