PPD, the clinical research business of Thermo Fisher Scientific, has an opening for a **Manager, Clinical Outreach and Recruitment Operations to o** versee the operations of patient screening outcomes and monitor clinical study progress through enrollment.
**A day in the Life:**
+ Identify opportunities to leverage recruitment strategies and oversee the daily operation of the Phone Recruiting staff (assigning workload, answering study-related questions and coordinating staff).
+ Establish recruiting requirements, staffing and advertising needs
+ Execute study setup activities and forecast recruitment staffing needs
+ Monitor recruiting metrics and implement adjustments to existing screening plans.
+ Develop lead recruiters and promote employee engagement, career development and operational efficiencies.
+ Oversee development of patient screening questionnaire to determine eligibility for study participation.
+ Create and implement successful advertising strategies to promote study awareness and reach appropriate demographic areas.
**Education and Experience:**
+ Previous clinical research experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 5+ years)
+ Experience overseeing others involved with clinical trials, such as study volunteers and recruiters.
+ 1+ year of leadership responsibility
+ In some cases an equivalency, consisting of appropriate education, training, and/or directly related experience will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:**
+ Ability to read and understand clinical trial protocols for early planning of recruitment activities
+ Skilled at prioritizing and shifting schedules for study availability to accommodate subjects in critical enrollment periods
+ Manage fast-paced environments and ability to flex to meet changing needs
+ Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
+ Ability to interact professionally with different levels of staff, management, and clients

This is a salaried role that will also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. Compensation will be initially discussed during the screening period, with actual compensation confirmed in writing at the time of offer.
