The Manager for Canadian Wealth Management Finance is responsible for monthly financial reporting and analysis, forecasting, and annual branch planning for ScotiaMcLeod Full-Service Brokerage business line. In addition, provide support for finance-related issues. **Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:** 1) Monthly Financial Reporting: • Ensure timely delivery of the monthly financial reporting and analysis for statutory expenses, key metrics, etc. • Prepare monthly and quarterly forecast updates for Senior Management decision making o ensuring the completeness, accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of the financial results • Oversees and complete the Real Estate lease administration process and ensures the timely reimbursement of all lease obligations • Responsible for the monthly journal entries, ensuring accuracy of financials, providing resolution to management upon their review 2) Annual Planning, including • Template development and distribution • Review and reasonability of branch templates • Aggregation and analysis of branch plans to confirm they align with Firm plan targets • Loading into financial system • Prepare annual Strategic Plan ensuring completeness, accuracy and timeliness of information 3) Prepares and delivers the Branch Manager Report package monthly, responding to any follow up questions from the branch network as required 4) Assist Senior Manager with special project work and ad-hoc Business analysis to support business strategies, including Business Line Management initiatives, Profitability Models, Business Development initiatives and operational efficiencies **Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:** • Professional accounting designation (CA, CGA or CMA) of equivalent experience • Self starter, detailed oriented, results-focus and highly motivated individual with strong analytical skills, the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines • In-depth knowledge of Wealth Management services and operations, and Advisor programs • Strong analytical skills with advanced competencies using Excel • Working knowledge of financial software such as OBI, Hyperion, or Peoplesoft • Must possess very good interpersonal and communication skills to effectively work with finance and business partners • A team player, willing to assist other members of the department **What’s in it for you?** + An inclusive & collaborative working environment that encourages creativity, curiosity, and celebrates success! + We offer a competitive rewards package: Performance bonus, Employee Share Ownership Program, and Pension Plan Matching, Health Benefits from day one! + Your career matters!
