More information about BROMMA can be found on www.bromma.com Compensation Data + Base Salary: $100k-$130k base salary + Eligible for Annual Sales Bonus + Auto Allowance Purpose of the position This position is focused on meeting domestic sales objectives for Bromma Spreaders in the assigned region. This position will report to the VP- Bromma Americas. Working through Bromma direct accounts, the Area Sales Manager will promote and capture sales within the region and will serve as the liaison between the customer and the Bromma Sales/Service network. Main tasks and responsibilities + Negotiate sales with existing and new customers. + Assist with the preparation of sales and service sales forecasts and budgets; monitor sales revenues against forecasts to identify problem areas; adapt procedures or priorities to improve the overall performance. + Contribute to the development of sales, customer retention, pricing, and distribution strategies for area of responsibility through provision of market intelligence and customer information, and by understanding market trends. + Pursue sales leads, visiting existing and new customers to meet sales target levels. + Refer sales leads, customer feedback, and information on competitor activity to appropriate contacts within the organization so that they can respond to changing market conditions and customer demands. + Proactively develop and implements sales tactics and sales action plans Meet or exceed sales budgets. + Plan and execute regularly scheduled customer visits in line with agreed schedules. + Produce and file visit reports associated with customer visits. + Collect and update all relevant market and customer information and inform all branch and regional management. + Stay informed regarding Order/Delivery follow-up of contracts and keep management appraised of higher level support requirements when customer relationships are in jeopardy + Maintain analysis of customer needs and product requirements to satisfy customer wants by segment. + Maintain market information on competitive product content and pricing. + Manage the sales discounts within guidelines. + Assure that proper inventory and demonstrators are available. + Provide input for forecasts on sales and industry volume. + Achieve a high level of customer satisfaction. + Communicate all sales programs. + Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Parts, Product Support and Sales/Marketing to maximize performance in all areas. What you’ll need to succeed Education: + Business Management degree; will consider combination of Sales/Marketing experience and education in lieu of BS degree Experience: + Minimum of five (5) years' experience in heavy port/terminal equipment sales and support + Should possess a technical aptitude for heavy equipment; some knowledge of engineering is a plus. Competencies: + Candidates must have superior communication and negotiation skills and the ability to communicate with individuals and/or groups consisting of principle owners, customer-end users, engineering, and other sales, parts, technicians or service personnel. + Must be able to face and address difficult issues and personalities + Able to build credibility with the customer is critical to success + A "Can Do" attitude and sense of urgency is required to create change and to impact our overall performance. + Must be capable and willing to travel and represent a large Western Region (US) and Canada – requiring travel 2 to 3 weeks per month / 3-4 days per week.
