Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and guide a team of ETL/ELT developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement ETL/ELT strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives and data requirements.
Project Management: Oversee multiple ETL/ELT projects, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to quality standards, and efficient resource allocation.
Technical Design and Implementation: Contribute to the design and development of complex ETL/ELT processes, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
Data Quality and Governance: Establish and enforce data quality standards, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and reliability throughout the ETL/ELT pipeline.
Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in ETL/ELT processes, optimizing for speed and efficiency.
Technology Stack Management: Stay up-to-date with the latest ETL/ELT technologies and tools, recommending and implementing appropriate solutions.
Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate with stakeholders across different departments, including business users, data analysts, and other IT teams.
Compliance and Security: Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and security best practices throughout the ETL/ELT lifecycle.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of ETL/ELT concepts, data warehousing principles, and data modeling techniques.
ETL/ELT Tools: Proficiency in one or more ETL/ELT tools such as Informatica, Talend, DataStage, SSIS, or cloud-based solutions like AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, or Google Cloud Dataflow.
Database Technologies: Solid experience with various database systems (e.g., relational databases, NoSQL databases) and SQL.
Programming Languages: Experience with programming languages commonly used in ETL/ELT development, such as Python, Java, or scripting languages like Shell scripting.
Data Quality: Strong understanding of data quality principles and experience implementing data validation and cleansing processes.
Cloud Computing: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their respective ETL/ELT services is highly desirable.
Project Management: Proven experience in managing complex projects, including resource planning, scheduling, and risk management.
Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills to effectively work with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues and optimize ETL/ELT processes.
