Manager, Aftermarket Planning Services

Your role is to manage the Supply Management Planners team for our R2 Aftermarket Procurement division, ensuring that processes and strategies are in place to execute the schedule agreements and purchase orders according to the materials plan, expediting material from suppliers in case of back orders, and leading tactical activities to recover delinquent suppliers. Working with hundreds of different suppliers mostly located in Europe – but also overseas – this position has a critical responsibility to manage the order fulfillment process to guarantee that service parts are delivered on time and in full to our E-PDC (European Parts Distribution Center) so that we keep our customers running.
Your responsibilities:
Operate within a matrix leadership structure, collaborating with a peer manager focused on process and supplier escalations. Take ownership of team performance and supplier efficiency, with clearly defined responsibilities to ensure clarity and impact. Lead onboarding, coaching, and performance monitoring for planners, ensuring adherence to standard routines. Oversee order fulfillment activities, ensuring smooth and timely execution. Monitor supplier performance and identify gaps to drive delivery improvements. Maintain strict control over the On Time Delivery (OTD) goal. Work closely with suppliers to expedite materials and resolve back orders quickly. Ensure the team responds effectively to internal requests, especially regarding Promise Dates (Pdate) for back-ordered items. Negotiate with suppliers to optimize order volumes and lead times. Conduct supplier visits when needed to strengthen collaboration and resolve issues.
