Inviting applications for the role of Management Trainee Financial Reporting (Statutory Regulatory Reporting)
In this role, we are looking for an accounting graduate with prior accounting work experience in Record to Report Operations in the Banking/Insurance/any other related Industry. In this role, you will be expected to work on strict deadlines, in a high-pressure business environment while being a standout colleague. Transformation / projects experience / Robotic implementation experience will be preferred.
You will work with customers/client in day to day operations and work on the preparation of financials statements and notes to accounts as per International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
Your role will function as an overlay of existing domain experts and bring value through new thoughts/ways of doing work which can lead to operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
Financial Reporting and Analysis - Statutory Reporting
• Lead the preparation and review of annual statutory financial statements in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards.
• Oversee monthly and quarterly IFRS journal postings in OneStream, ensuring compliance with IFRS and internal accounting policies.
Controls, Testing, and Internal Documentation
• Prepare recurring quarterly memos addressing areas of judgement and significant events to support accounting treatments.
• Develop ad-hoc technical accounting memos in response to business decisions or structural changes.
Quarterly NY Reporting (OneStream)
• Manage monthly and quarterly US GAAP journal entries in OneStream, ensuring alignment with US GAAP and internal policies.
• Coordinate EY quarterly review planning and execution, ensuring timely delivery and audit readiness.
• Review and validate quarterly deliverables completed by the BPO team.
• Oversee subsidiary trial balance uploads, webform submissions, and analytics for quarterly reporting.
General Ledger, Consolidation, and Reconciliation
• Manage the intercompany reconciliation process, including resolution of disputed balances and charges.
• Post elimination entries and ensure accurate consolidation of financial data across entities.
Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum Qualifications / Skills
• CA / CMA Qualified/ MBA (With B.Com at Graduation level) preferred
• Relevant work experience of years in the industry

• Strong communication – Both Written and Vocal
• Strong analytical Accounting skills
• Ability to prioritize effectively, be flexible as needs change
• Positive attitude with a focus on continuous process improvement and an open mind to change
• High standard of integrity, strong self-confidence to state and support opinions
• High energy, strong influencing skills
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Effective working knowledge of IT incl. Use of, Word, Excel, Power point
