Position: Management Trainee

Job Description:

We are seeking a driven and energetic candidate to join our growing organization as a Management Trainee.  In this position you will have the unique opportunity to gain knowledge and experience in a wide range of logistics and transportation disciplines with potential to advance within our company.  No previous experience is required.   Daily tasks include quoting customers, managing inventory, booking shipments, tracking and tracing, interacting with our customers, and invoicing. We work in a team atmosphere, so all operators are cross trained in customer accounts. The sales team, warehouse staff, and operators work together to meet our customer’s ever-changing and evolving needs.

Core Responsibilities & Duties:

Provide and process rate quotes and service orders for shipments while maintaining customer satisfaction Daily contact with vendors to obtain pricing, tracking, and bookings Daily monitoring of shipment status Invoice shipments Compile reports and provide support to other staff members Resolve customer issues by investigating transactions, developing solutions, and making recommendations to management Work in conjunction with sales and management to establish, implement, and maintain client specific needs Ensure compliance with Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and local & federal regulations Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business or related field Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work with all levels of the organization Basic to advanced computer skills Demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
