Managed Care Contracting & Provider Relations Manager (Remote) Location: Remote (Must be based near St. Louis, MO) Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts Pay Rate: $36.00/hour Duration: 6-month contract to potential hire About the Role Are you a strategic negotiator with a passion for expanding healthcare access? We’re seeking a Managed Care Contracting & Provider Relations Manager to lead national payor network growth and optimization. This high-impact role focuses on securing new agreements, renegotiating existing contracts, and building strong relationships with managed care organizations to ensure timely patient access to services. This is a fully remote opportunity with occasional executive meetings. Ideal for a results-driven professional with deep expertise in payor contracting and a strong network in the managed care space. Key Responsibilities + Lead negotiations for new contracts, amendments, and renewals with commercial and Medicare Advantage payors. + Develop and execute national contracting strategies aligned with organizational growth goals. + Leverage existing payor relationships to accelerate network entry and reduce reliance on standard LOI processes. + Serve as the primary liaison with payors, resolving contract-related issues and fostering long-term partnerships. + Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Legal, and Revenue Cycle teams. + Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive activity. + Track and report on contract performance, identifying opportunities for improvement. + Represent the organization professionally in all external payor interactions. What You Bring + Minimum 3 years of managed care contracting experience with proven success in payor negotiations. + Preferred 5+ years in healthcare network management, payor relations, or provider contracting. + Strong understanding of contract structures (FFS, capitation, value-based, risk-sharing). + Familiarity with CMS, HIPAA, ACA, and state-specific regulations. + Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills. + Strategic thinker with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with contract management systems and payer portals is a plus.
