In this position, you’ll perform a variety of skilled maintenance tasks to ensure our buildings, grounds, and equipment remain in top condition. From carpentry and painting to mechanical and preventative upkeep, your work will directly support a safe environment for staff, offenders, and the community. * Inspect, test, and adjust facility systems, including pumps, alarms, gauges, heating and cooling units, and electrical components. Notify licensed trades or contractors when specialized work is required. * Perform routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, structures, and equipment. * Maintain accurate records of work performed, including supply requests, duty logs, vehicle reports, and equipment check-outs. * Contribute to a culture of safety by following proper procedures and supporting facility security standards. *QUALIFICATIONS*** The knowledge, skills and abilities for this position are typically acquired through a combination of education and experience equivalent to** * High school graduation or equivalent. * Two years of experience in light duty construction or maintenance including preventative maintenance. * Two years of basic blueprint drawing or reading is preferred. * Ability to obtain a low-pressure boiler license within one year of employment. * Must have and maintain a Montana driver’s license in good standing.
