Job Summary
This position is responsible for performing operations functions, preventive and corrective maintenance as applicable to job function to ensure proper functioning of plant equipment, and will work under the direction of site management.This position is responsible for the proper function and maintenance of equipment at a Gas Plant for the Gas fleet. Responsible for promoting safe, effective, and reliable operation. This role will pay this role pays between $35 to $55 per hour depending upon experience. Role is also eligible for bonus, profit sharing and benefits for the employee and their eligible dependents.

Key Accountabilities:
•Responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance of mechanical equipment to ensure safe and reliable operations of a combined cycle natural gas fired power plant.
•Assisting/performing troubleshooting of plant equipment, preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure proper functioning, daily maintenance, construction, demolition, overhauls, repair /replacement and removal/installation of plant equipment and structures; including but not limited to pumps, motors, valves, hydraulic systems, compressors, accumulators, actuators, heat exchangers and filtration equipment.
•Effectively communicate (both written and verbal) problems with vendors and plant staff to solve problems and perform safety and operational inspections of tooling and equipment.
•Perform clearances in LOTOV under the direction of a senior operator or supervisor.
•Coordinate with vendors to procure and order parts for repairs.
•Utilizes/operates various types of hand, power, precision or machine tools necessary to support safe and productive work environments.
•Operates heavy equipment for lifting and rigging
•Maintains a working knowledge of all electronic control systems and computers
•Understands and follows current safety and environmental regulations necessary to conduct all phases of work
•Ensures strict adherence to safety, health and environmental procedures as they relate to plant operations and maintenance including but not limited to Lockout Tagout, Job Safety Analysis, Confined Space, Hot Work, Electrical Safety and PPE
Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements:
•2 -4 years of related experience as a maintenance mechanic in a power plant environment or similar industrial experience. Less than 2 years' experience will be considered based on work history and qualifications.
•Satisfactory completion of Tier 1 job performance measures composed of basic: Operations, Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrument and Controls
•High School diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent
•Demonstrate standard computer-based skills
•Demonstrate effective oral & verbal communications skills
•If applicable, candidate must meet the requirement of PT1-E
•Ability to quickly respond to plant conditions that may involve extended and/or abnormal working hours
•Ability to weld is a plus but not required
•Ability to respond calmly and think clearly during emergency situations
•Ability to operate a forklift
•Ability to read and interpret P&ID's and O&M manuals
•Must have strong mechanical aptitude with basic understanding of chemistry, physics, electricity and mathematics
•Must pass POSS/MASS pre-employment exam
Physical Requirements:
•Ability to lift 20 lbs in awkward positions and 75 lbs from floor to waist
•Ability to position 55-gallon drums in proper locations for storage and work
•Ability to climb ladders and work at heights
•Job requires frequent reaching, pulling and pushing
•Must be willing and capable of wearing a respirator (PAPR)
•Must be able to quickly access all areas of the plant including confined spaces, high elevations and hot areas
Key Metrics:
•Progression of skill within primary skill set.
•Satisfactory completion of Tier 2 job performance measures predominately composed of Sign-offs of demonstrating different primary and auxiliary system operations and maintenance relevant to primary skill.
•Demonstrate continual self-improvement in job skills and knowledge.
