Your main responsibilities are :

Execute maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, inspecting, overhauling and reconditioning engine and auxiliary components. Be an integral part of the maintenance team. Strive to achieve common goals and customer deadlines. Liaise closely with Team Leaders and Supervisors. Ensure that all activities in the plant are carried out in accordance with the Company's Health and Safety standards. Adopt a pleasant, adaptable attitude towards any duties that may be required.

 
Requirements for the position  :

Technical Trade certificate/ Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Completion of National Apprenticeship and Trade testing board -Level 3 and holding certificate shall be added advantage but not mandatory. Capable to read and understand assembly and manufacturing drawings and technical instructions. 5-6 years experience in assembling mechanical components of diesel engines, separators, compressors and screw pumps. Should be able to troubleshoot diesel engines on various systems. Metrology skills (Usage of Torque wrenches, feeler gauge, bore gauge, depth gauge etc).

 

As an ideal candidate you might also have :

Experience in assembling mechanical components of engine and separators are nice to have. Experience in a similar role within Large Diesel engine or marine industry would be a plus. Excellent problem-solving abilities. Good communication skills and knowledge in MS Office. Attention to details and precision in work. this is a one-year temporary position
