Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced Certified Plumber to join our Foot Locker team at our Junction City Distribution Center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems and fixtures to ensure smooth operations within the facility. This role requires extensive experience in commercial plumbing, adherence to safety regulations, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Responsibilities Position Functions: · Install, repair, and maintain pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing equipment in the distribution center. · Inspect and diagnose plumbing issues, providing efficient solutions to minimize downtime. · Perform preventive maintenance on plumbing systems to ensure optimal performance. · Collaborate with maintenance and facility teams to support overall building operations. · Ensure compliance with local, state, and national plumbing codes and regulations · Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications. · Utilize appropriate tools and equipment for plumbing repairs and installations.] · Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and system updates. · Respond promptly to emergency plumbing issues to prevent operational disruptions. · Train and provide guidance to junior maintenance staff as needed. · Follows daily procedures and protocols as set forth in job orientations and trainings. Qualifications Physical Demands: · Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods. · Comfortable working in varying temperatures and conditions within the distribution center. Required Education and Experience: · Valid plumbing license/certification in Kansas. · Minimum 5+ years of experience in commercial or industrial plumbing. · Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, standards, and safety regulations. · Experience working in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution center environment preferred. · Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. · Proficiency with plumbing tools, equipment, and materials. · Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. · Ability to work independently and within a team. · Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety. · Availability for on-call or emergency repairs as needed. Basic proficiency in speaking and understanding English* to comprehend safety instructions, participate in safety drills and effectively communicate in case of emergencies. This requirement is critical to maintain a safe working environment for all employees. It is not a requirement of Foot Locker that employees speak English only while at work. Work Environment: This position works in a warehouse setting, with limited outdoor exposure during the workday. This role routinely uses standard warehouse maintenance equipment such as scissor lifts, genie booms, drills, multimeters, welders, and general hand/power tools. Based on business demands, team members may be required to temporarily work outside their normal hours or overtime as needed. Benefits The compensation range is $30.00 p/hr - $35.00 p/hr. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the compensation for this position. Compensation will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
