Overview: We’re looking for a detail-oriented and highly capable technician to support the ongoing maintenance, repair, and performance of our electric and autonomous vehicle fleet. This position requires a well-rounded individual who understands both traditional mechanical systems and the more advanced components found in modern EV and AV platforms. In this role, you’ll be responsible for identifying and resolving vehicle issues ranging from basic hardware failures to complex sensor or software-related faults. You’ll conduct routine inspections, perform system diagnostics, and carry out repairs with a strong focus on safety, precision, and operational uptime. The ideal candidate brings a hands-on approach to problem-solving, a solid foundation in electrical systems, and the adaptability to work with evolving vehicle technologies such as LiDAR, GPS, and real-time data integration. Ford Transit EV certification required; training available if not currently certified.Mechanic’s tool setSubject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs):Experience working with electrical systems, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.Ability to utilize proprietary software to diagnose, calibrate, and repair vehicle components.Strong analytical skills to identify issues and implement process improvements.Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.Broad understanding of mechanical systems related to heavy-duty transportation vehicles.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.Must be able to pass a background check and federally regulated DOT drug screening.
