Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support our production operations by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on equipment, machinery, and facility systems. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, a proactive approach to minimizing downtime, and experience in the plastics manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on production equipment and facility systemsTroubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issuesInspect and replace defective parts using appropriate toolsMaintain accurate logs of maintenance and repair workSupport equipment installations, upgrades, and modificationsCollaborate with production and quality teams to ensure optimal equipment performanceConduct general facility maintenance, including lighting, plumbing, HVAC, and building repairsMaintain proper inventory of spare parts and notify supervisor when restocking is neededParticipate in safety and maintenance training programsRespond promptly to emergency maintenance issuesEnsure all work is performed in compliance with safety policies and procedures

Work Experience

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications preferredPlastics industry experience is required2–4 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environmentStrong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systemsAbility to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manualsProficient with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipmentStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressureBasic computer skills for maintenance tracking and inventory systemsFlexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and on-call
