Business Title: Maintenance Technician IIIPurpose
The Maintenance Technician assumes ownership for the execution and support of department objectives. They will ensure knowledge in calibration, maintenance, facilities, and utilities, delivering results on Safety, Quality, and Quantity. Job and Position ContextThe Groningen site produces multiple pharmaceutical products for clinical trials and commercial use, following cGMP and EH&S regulations.
Site activities need to be completed in an efficient and effective manner to ensure the site’s overall success. Activities must be carefully completed to ensure safety, product quality, and regulatory compliance.
Networking: The maintenance technician engages with a diverse network within and outside Thermo Fisher Scientific: Internal customers comprise supervisors and employees from other departments. External customers or team members are suppliers and contractor companies.Quality and EH&S: Responsible for acting according to EH&S, Quality, and cGMP regulations.Job Content:Main responsibilities include:Perform maintenance and calibration activities as planned and prepared by the maintenance engineers.Solving and repairing breakdowns / carrying out corrective maintenanceContractor mentorship and interactionProviding supporting information for quality system related actionsParticipating in the engineer on call teamMaintaining a safe and balanced working environmentAdditional responsibilities, as assigned by the manager, include:Authority in utilities and facility including lead for HVAC stop, WFI stop, CoolingExecution of - or mentorship of fit and finish activitiesAccountable for meeting critical metrics, reporting any variances and challengesAchieving assigned departmental goals in Engineering that are in line with the site and company objectivesEnsure that activities in the M&C Department within the Thermo Fisher Scientific Corporate guidelines, systems, and requirements, EH&S requirements, within quality and regulatory requirements (EMEA/ FDA guidelines for manufacturing)Responsible for continuous improvement initiatives for increased efficiency and/or costs reductionAuthority in maintenance, calibration, utilities, facilities, automation, computerized maintenance management systemComplexity of the JobThe job holder is sound in content knowledge and needs to be able to represent Thermo Fisher Scientific in a professional manner.Knowledge and education levelMiddle Vocational Education/MBO level or experience through education, training. Experience in Maintenance and/or Engineering in the mechanical-, electrical- and/or automation work field.Good command of English, both in oral and written communicationGood knowledge of EH&SGood knowledge and experience in facilities for manufacturing of biologics.Required Level of Experiences
