The Level 2 Maintenance Technician (Weekends) is responsible for performing intermediate-level maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting, repairing, and servicing equipment, machinery, and facilities. This role involves more complex technical work and requires a higher level of expertise to ensure the efficient production of chocolate products. The ideal candidate is skilled, reliable, and dedicated to maintaining optimal operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine and advanced maintenance tasks on chocolate production equipment and facilities. Troubleshoot and diagnose more complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues. Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability. Assist in the planning and execution of maintenance projects and equipment installations. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency breakdowns. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Collaborate with other maintenance team members and departments to improve overall operational efficiency. Generate work orders, complete work orders, and close work orders using a computerized maintenance management system/ Maximo. Provide guidance and support to Level 1 Maintenance Technicians. Participate in training programs to stay updated on the latest maintenance practices and technologies. Committed to providing a safe food product. Ability to adhere to GMP practices and all other food safety requirements.
About you:
High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance or related field. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Willingness to work from Friday to Monday (40 hours). Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic computer skills for maintaining records and accessing information. Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods. Technical certification or vocational training in a relevant field. (Desirable experience). Experience with maintenance management software (Maximo). (Desirable experience). Familiarity with food production equipment and processes. (Desirable experience). Knowledge of industrial safety standards and practices. (Desirable experience).
