Maintenance Technician II
Position OverviewUnited Health Services (UHS) is seeking a Maintenance Technician 2 to perform routine maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and building systems. In this role, you’ll handle daily service requests, conduct preventive maintenance, and ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently to support facility operations. This is either because there are multiple openings at different sites, or the successful candidate will be required to float across multiple UHS facilities. Primary Work Shift: Day Regular Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Compensation Range: $22.97 - $34.46 per hour, depending on experience ----- Job Responsibilities + Perform preventive maintenance on electrical, mechanical, heating, air conditioning, and plumbing equipment, documenting all activities and findings in maintenance records + Conduct routine grounds maintenance duties including mowing grass, raking leaves, trimming shrubs, litter pickup, and sweeping sidewalks to ensure safe and attractive outdoor areas + Troubleshoot and perform repairs on electronic equipment, including electrical wiring tasks as needed to maintain facility systems + Service, maintain, and repair refrigeration and air conditioning units to ensure optimal climate control within the facility + Carry out plumbing, heating, and steam fitting installation and repair work to maintain water and heating systems in proper working condition + Perform general building maintenance tasks such as minor carpentry, painting, and repairs as assigned by supervisors + Complete a broad range of maintenance duties combining mechanical, electrical, and grounds work, maintaining detailed logs and reports of activities performed + Operate and maintain boilers as required, ensuring safe and efficient functioning in compliance with safety regulations and standards + Assist Security Officers with additional support tasks when needed to help maintain a safe and secure environment + Respond to maintenance work orders promptly, addressing routine and urgent repair needs to minimize downtime + Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, using proper personal protective equipment and safe work practices at all times + Perform other related duties as requested or required to support the overall operation and maintenance of the facility Position Qualifications Minimum Required: + High School diploma or GED. + 2 – 4 years’ experience in operational level maintenance and engineering and/or demonstrated experience as a Tech 1 or equivalent. + Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing.
