Role Summary:

We are seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for one of our manufacturing plants. The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and repair of a variety of CNC machines, test equipment, parts washers, and others. Emphasis will be placed on electrical repair aptitude, as the Maintenance Mechanic will need to effectively troubleshoot items such as servo drives and electrical switches.

This is a First Shift Opportunity- Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

Troubleshoot, operate, install, and program panel views and HMI devicesTroubleshoot and repair valve testing equipmentDiagnose and repair mechanical failures on ovens, blowers, and fansVerifies alignment and tolerances of moving parts, tests operations of assembliesLayout, measure, size, bend and install electrical conduitTroubleshoot and program AC/CD drives and motorsEffectively troubleshoot relay logic circuits – requires experience with gas train circuitryEffectively troubleshoot, size, and install transformersEffectively lays out, measures, threads, and installs pipeTroubleshoot and repair processed water systemTroubleshoot and repair hydraulic systemsTroubleshoot and repair injection molding equipmentUse precision measuring tools, voltmeters, ammeters, and oscilloscopesApply knowledge and understanding of machining controls, troubleshooting, and programming skillsTroubleshoot ladder logic programsTroubleshoot machine heating controls, i.e. controllers, heaters, molds and solid-state relaysOther duties as assigned

Preferred Experience / Skills:

Technical training in electrical maintenanceAble to read blueprints and specificationsHands-on experience in the manufacturing industryExperience diagnosing/repairing mechanical industrial equipment, such as lathes, milling machines, CNC etc.; includes use of precision measuring tools and testing equipmentGood understanding of electrical systems including 3 phaseBasic knowledge of plumbing and pneumatic controlsMust be willing to learn new skillsAbility to determine material needs and specifications for projectsCreates detail bill of materials (BOMs) for projectExperience operating machinesBackground with PLCExperience with machine heating controlsHS Diploma / GED and 3-5 years relevant experience
