Right now we're looking for experienced, skilled Maintenance Technicians to join our growing optical manufacturing team in Lawrenceville, GA. on the night shift operations.

The Maintenance Technician II is a fully qualified technician who may be tasked to repair and maintain any equipment or process in the facility and maintain a clean and safe environment for all associates.  Typical equipment will include, but not be limited to, automated CNC-type cutting and grinding of optical lenses, material handling conveyor systems, liquid coolant filtering systems, industrial vacuum systems, industrial HVAC units, and general facilities maintenance.

The work schedule is a unique base schedule of three 12 hour shifts per week.

Night Shift Schedule:

Sunday - Tuesday  4:00 pm to 4:30 am

                         OR

Wednesday - Friday 4:00 pm to 4:30 amOvertime may be scheduled if needed 

Job DescriptionPreventative and Reactive maintenance as needed throughout the facility including facilities maintenance. Responsible for maintaining state of the art automated and semi-automatic electro-mechanical production equipment used in the manufacture of prescription lenses including CNC grinding and polishing, clear coat application, and final milling and finishing of custom lens shapes.Responsible for maintaining all maintenance-related software programs such as PM logs, material acquisition logs, etc. in whatever maintenance software programs are used in the Facility.Responsible for securing machine parts at the lowest cost.  Communicates with various Help Desks (foreign and domestic) to fix various machines.Fabricates systems and machines to make production easier or of better quality.Suggests procedure changes to improve department efficiency.Follows all safety rules and protocols rigorousl

QualificationsHigh School degree or equivalent required. Associate or Technical certifications preferred. 2-5 years previous experience in industrial maintenance, diagnosis, and repair (electro/mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulics, servo drives, HVAC, etc.)No specific optical maintenance experience required for this position.Must be able to read and write English.Familiarity with both American and European electrical and electronic diagramming and schematics.Experience working with PLC’s.  PLC programming a plus.Requires accuracy to such a degree that loss through errors would cause waste or delay, and potentially significant cost to the organization.Non-Repetitive job requiring mental effort, and a high degree of problem-solving skills.Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry our instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Able to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
